Lily Allen, Corinne Bailey Rae, Katie Melua, KT Tunstall or Amy Winehouse, who's your favorite and why?
No particuar favourite but, Lilly for lyrics, Corinne is a bit too me too, KT for that I'm gonna kick the world's in the *** feeling, Amy Winehaus for her singlemindedness and for just being far too young to have all that attitood. Katie Melua to send me to sleep forever.
Reply:KT Tunstall. It's fantastic what she can do with layering to make wonderful tracks, makes me want to take up guitar more than ever. :) Also : great fun to sing in the shower.

Reply:I have Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse albums, I really like Corinne Bailey Rae, she has such a beautiful presense and always makes me smile, but my Favourite is Amy, she has done something new and intresting, i love the way her music sounds and the lyrics are so relevant.
Reply:I'm a devoted Amy fan. I like K T Tunstall too. Corrine is ok but have to be in the mood. As for Katie Melua and Lily Allen, who the hell told either one of them they had talent. They cant sing and really dont have memorable lyrics.


Amy Winehouse for me every time

Lily Allen got where she has a famous father. Corinne Bailey Rae and Kate Melua are both boring background music for people that buy 1 or 2 cd's a year. KT Tunstall is ok i suppose but doesn't have the talent of Miss Winehouse.

Her voice, her lyrics not too sure about the bee bonnet though.

KT Tunstall for her energy and power in voice and songs. She's very energetic and refreshing to me. I also admire how well she plays guitar.
Reply:Lily Allen is annoying and overrated, Corinne Bailey Rae is beyond boring and I hate her voice, Katie Melua - same as Corinne, KT Tunstall has a good voice but writes terrible songs - so I would have to go with Amy Winehouse.





But the best female artist in the world at the moment is Regina Spektor - and she is superior to all of the above.

Reply:Lily's dress sense is really cool (althogh I'd NEVER wear gold creoles!), Corrine's too twee for me, Melua bores me (musically), like Tunstall's album and not too sure how I feel about Winehouse.





Stylistically, Allen by far!


Musically, Tunstall, I guess.





I prefer Suzanne Vega, though - BEAUTIFUL voice and alternative without necessarily being all-rocking-out (If that makes ANY sense at all....)

Amy bloody winehouse. This young woman has talent far beyond that of most pop, soap washing machine tripe that passes for music these days .





She is no short of exceptional
