nope NOT calla lilies, I said CANNA
thank u!!
How much do CANNA lily bulbs normally cost??
I have ordered from both paradisegardens.com and horn for callas and they are both very good companies that have many varieties that Wally World and Lowes don't have. Most people only have orange yellow or red in their yards and most don't know that there are peaches and pinks and dwarf varieties also. They are normally sold for about $4.00 per rhizome in the stores they may be higher on-line especially if you want some of the rare ones. I agree that you only need one because they can get to be a nuisance. I am going to be getting rid of some myself. The dwarf varieties seem to be slower to multiply.
Reply:Dont buy them... look for someone that has them, I`m sure they would give you a few or put a ad in a local neighborhood paper.
I started out with 6 - then they doubled every year after.
I ended up bringing bags of bulbs to work just to get rid of them.
Reply:I'm no expert but I did a quick goggle search and found this place http://www.cannas.net/shop/cart.asp?acti...
I only looked at one and its prices started at $1.25 for 1-49 then dropped to $1.00 of 50 or more
if you go to the site click on the picture for prices...hope this helps
Reply:Best way to get them is cruise around your neighborhood and ask neighbors if they would share some with you. They multiply so quickly that I end up throwing them away.
Reply:common canna bulbs usually cost about $2.50 at your local garden centers. However, there are more expensive canna like the Canna Tropicana that can cost as much as $12 +. It usually pays to shop at the end of the season and unless you live in zone 7 and above then you can't plant them until spring anyhow. Also, if you have neighbors or friend with canna, you might let them know that you are interested in it because canna spreads like mad and most people would be more than happy to share their bulbs with unsuspecting admirers. I got all my canna from my sister in law, neighbors, and a place where I used to work.
Reply:http://www.tulipworld.com sells three for $3.95.
