Can the plant Belamcanda Chinensis (AKA the Blackberry Lily or the Leopard Lily) be wild?

I live in Arkansas and I have a patch of these plants growing in my field. They have always been there. I am thinking that it is part of an old homestead. Or could they possibly be wild? I've never seen anything like them before.

This lovely species is native to eastern Asia and Japan. By the 19th century it was already popular in many Chinese gardens, and was then imported to the United States. No doubt some homesteader introduced it to your neck of the woods long ago.
Reply:Knowing plant latin helps. The species is chinensis. That designates it as being Chinese in origin.





If you see japonica it is Japanese, coreanus is Korean and canadensis is Canadian.
