Who killed lily kane on veronica mars?

Aaron Echolls (Logan's dad) killed Lilly Kane. He was having an affair with her, the juicy parts of which Lilly discovered Aaron was secretly taping. She took the tapes (it's not clear what, if anything, she actually planned on doing with them), and when Aaron discovered they were missing, he tracked her down at her house. When she refused to tell him where she had hidden the tapes, he got insanely angry and struck her on the head, which killed her. (He wasn't necessarily trying to kill her, but in his rage, his force was lethal.) At the time, Aaron was unable to locate the tapes Lilly had hidden.





Fast forward to the end of season 1. Veronica thinks that Logan may have killed Lilly, but she discovers that Lilly may have hidden a letter from Logan in the vent in her room which might prove Logan didn't kill Lilly. When Veronica checks out the vent (with Duncan) she discovers not the letter, but some tapes. Veronica and Duncan watch the tapes, see Lilly and Aaron having sex, and Veronica declares, "I know what happened." (She's that smart!) Unfortunately, Aaron is lurking in the dark (having finally realized where Lilly may have hidden the tapes). He hides in Veronica's car and tries to kill her to get the tapes back. At the last moment, Keith saves Veronica, captures Aaron, and recovers the tapes.





In season 2, Aaron is jailed and tried, but is found not guilty by the jury. (It didn't help that Logan destroyed the infamous tapes, after buying them to keep them from being released on the internet.) A couple days after Aaron is released, he is assassinated by Clarence Wiedman at the behest of Duncan Kane.

Reply:Aaron Eckles (Logan's dad). Veronica and Logan were making out on the bed in the pool house, he left to get drinks and she spotted the camera above the bed (hidden in the ceiling fan). She then found all the monitors and videos. Veronica left. Next she snuck into the Cain residence during a party went to Lily's room and found video tapes in the register vent (central air) where Lily's brother found her, they watched the tapes together. On the tapes was Aaron and Lily having sex. Lily had found the camera and tapes (just like Veronica). She took the tapes and left when Aaron found Lily and the tapes gone he went looking for her when Lily wouldn't give the tapes up he hit her in the head with some kind of wooden box. He found out that Veronica had the tapes and tried to kill her. He went to jail after that (Logan snuck into the police evidence room, stole the tapes and destroyed them after watching them). Aaron was later acquitted on the murder charges. Now he's a free man again -look out Veronica! Hope this helped.
