Any idea why my peace lily wilts during the day?

Every morning it is standing tall...then it wilts as the suncomes out (it's not in direct sunlight)...then when the sun goes down it perks up again. What is causing this?

Any idea why my peace lily wilts during the day?
Peace lilly or spath....is what I normally call it.

This houseplant likes water, and lots of it. Try watering twice per day. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon.

As a matter of fact you can put the root system without soil in a container of water and it will do great.

Also remember unlike most people peace lillies like darkness.
Reply:Even if they're not in direct sunlight, they are best in the shade.
Reply:I found my peace lily to be very suceptable to being dry. I could almost watch the leaves perk back up when I watered it. Be careful not to water it too much, but check that soil.
Reply:I have no idea. Mine does the same thing.
Reply:Although it's not in direct sunlight it could be that the room itself gets too warm - try moving your plant to a cooler environment.
